Mystifyer

You trick me
with that pretty
soft
edge of your skin.

And the waves
in your personage
hypnotize my reasoning.
Your body
dazzles my poetry.
I fall
for your fancy fibs.

I’m in ecstasy,
drunk,
long before having sips
of your bloody
tender
lips

~Fari Naz

P.S. (three days after) How come everybody thinks I wrote this poem for them, besides the person I wrote it for? Crazy world!! (I got 3 messages, a phonecall and an e-mail on this) I feel pressured people. Don't push me so much! It's just a silly poem!

Great Family

After a week in London, which was horrible, it took me a whole week to recover and put my act together.
The "high" of the week (which helped me get over the unorganized Iranian medieval oposition "organization", who invited me to London) was visiting my two families.

First on Saturday, I spent the whole day at the D66 (Dutch Democratic Party) Congress. It was really fun. I also loved the after-party in which I could talk to different members, whether it was the famous ones, the ones behind the political scenes, or the new members, listening to them was a joy.
Dear M, took most of the pictures while not being in any of the pictures at all (such a pitty). I owe her a big "thank you" for taking the pictures. Unfortunately taking photographs in the congress room was prohibited so we could only take pictures either when we went to smoke outside or at the after-party.

Then I went to my other family. My real real family.

We went out to dinner and in the morning... Only hearing their sounds while they were making breakfast, as I was just waking up, was a true joy.

PS. Sorry for the late update, I am just very busy with stuff...

Nostalgia

Today, me and Stijn, wrote one of those "he said, she said" poetries of ours, and preformed in the poetry event of "cosmopolitism & nostalgia".

Stijn:
If we could just unwire
our fences
with desire, lower the defences
on which this country
is built

Farinaz:
the fence
protects the rose
the rose is in need of love
but has its thorns.
if you hug, I will kiss
how can I promise
more
to widely opening my door?

Stijn:
How can I caress
your exotic skin, draw near
to your distant soul
without loosing
myself

Farinaz:
to love is to
accept, my precious
not to loose.
what a lost state shall we induce
if we don't hang on
to who we are
the way we are.
still, kiss the thorns of the rose
for that, is also part
of her
charm.

Stijn:
If you will gently wipe my
blooded lips
with Persian tenderness
time after time after time
unwire my defenses
and of the country
we both live in
